This all around excellent steel is preferred by master cutlers such as: Wayne Goddard and Bob Dozier etc. Acclaimed for its excellent edge retention and impressive cutting abilities this carbon steel has a chromium content which stops just short of being a stainless. Although being somewhat difficult to grind it has often been compared to BG-42 for its edge holding capabilities.
